Sterling ECM Programming
Sterling Trucks shut down new production in 2009 but operates across many fleets to this day — particularly municipal, vocational, and refuse applications where the trucks were originally specified and continue to deliver durable service. Mercedes-Benz MBE engines (MBE 4000 and MBE 900) power most of the Sterling fleet. The Acterra medium-duty range, L-series highway, and LT-series severe-duty highway all remain in active operational use.
Highway
Sterling L-series (L7500/L8500/L9500) and LT-series (LT8500/LT9500/LT9513) cover highway and heavy-highway applications. Many remain in long-distance and regional service across the legacy fleet population.
