ECM Performance — Diesel ECM Programming

Pricing

ECM programming pricing depends on platform, calibration scope, service method, and operational urgency. Every quote is built around the actual scope of work — not a fixed-price catalog that doesn't match what your truck needs. Same-day quotes with honest scope breakdowns.

Why We Don't Publish A Price List

Most ECM programming shops publish fixed prices: $X for DPF delete on Cummins ISC, $Y for EGR delete on Paccar MX, $Z for performance tuning on Cat C15. That model is simple and convenient — but it consistently misprices the actual work.

The diagnostic conversation that should precede the quote often reveals that the customer's described problem is the symptom but not the cause. The right calibration scope is sometimes narrower than expected (cheaper than the fixed-price option), sometimes broader (more work, but actually solves the issue), and sometimes calibration isn't the right path at all (the customer needs hardware service first). A fixed-price catalog doesn't accommodate that diagnostic reality.

Our quotes are built around what your truck actually needs after a brief diagnostic conversation. That conversation typically takes a few minutes once we have fault codes and operational context. The quote reflects the actual scope — not an averaged catalog price designed to cover the easiest and hardest cases simultaneously.

What Affects The Quote

Several factors drive the scope, and the quote reflects them honestly.

Platform and complexity. Cummins B6.7 calibration work is different from Cummins X15 calibration work, which is different from Paccar MX-13 from MaxxForce 13 from Cat C15 ACERT. Each platform has its own calibration ecosystem, its own diagnostic complexity, and its own typical scope. Newer platforms with more layered emissions architecture (DPF + EGR + SCR + DEF) typically involve more calibration scope than legacy EGR-only platforms.

Calibration scope. DPF-only delete is simpler scope than DPF + EGR + SCR combined delete. Emissions recalibration on a compliant truck is different scope from off-road delete calibration. Performance tuning adds its own scope. The quote reflects what's actually in the calibration work for your specific situation.

Service method. Ship-in is the most cost-effective. Remote programming adds session time. On-site service adds travel time and field service overhead. The right choice usually balances cost against operational logistics — sometimes the slightly higher cost of on-site service makes operational sense, sometimes ship-in is the obvious right path.

Fleet volume. Single ECM pricing reflects per-unit overhead. Fleet projects — programming 5, 20, or 200 ECMs — benefit from volume pricing because the per-unit overhead drops substantially. Fleet customers typically receive substantial volume discounts compared to per-truck pricing.

Urgency. Standard ship-in service runs 2-3 days. Expedited work (same-day completion when possible, overnight return shipping) costs more because we're prioritizing your work over scheduled production. Most operators choose standard turnaround; expedite is available for situations where operational impact justifies it.

Three Service Methods, Three Cost Profiles

The service method you choose materially affects pricing. Most operators pick the method that fits their operational logistics first, then we work out the calibration scope and quote.

What's Included
  • Calibration scope as defined in the quote
  • Pre-shipment diagnostic capture (when applicable)
  • Quality testing on the calibration before return
  • Same-day shipping back via FedEx or UPS Next Day Air
  • Post-installation phone support during reinstall
  • Warranty on the calibration work (see warranty terms)
What's NOT Included
  • ECM removal and reinstallation labor
  • Inbound shipping to our facility
  • Hardware service (DPF cleaning, EGR cooler replacement, injector service)
  • Truck-side diagnostic tooling or scan tools
  • Hardware parts (DPF substrates, sensors, EGR coolers, etc.)
  • Travel time for on-site service outside South Florida

Fleet Pricing And Net Terms

Fleet customers programming multiple ECMs at once receive volume pricing that drops substantially below per-truck rates. The break points typically appear at 5 ECMs, 10 ECMs, 25 ECMs, and 50+ ECMs — though the actual quote depends on your specific fleet mix, calibration scope, and operational requirements.

Net 30 and longer payment terms are available for qualifying fleet customers with established business credit. The qualification process is straightforward — credit application, business references, and a brief conversation about ongoing fleet programming needs. For first-time customers, standard payment terms apply on the initial order, with net terms available on subsequent work.

For municipal, government, and educational fleet customers, we work with operators on the procurement requirements specific to those organizations — PO-based ordering, contract pricing for ongoing fleet work, RFP responses for larger fleet programs. The conversation typically starts with the fleet manager describing the operational situation and procurement constraints, and the quote follows.

Dealer And Independent Shop Pricing

For dealers and independent diesel shops working with end customers who need specialized ECM programming, we offer dealer pricing that reflects the volume and ongoing relationship. The dealer becomes the customer-facing service provider with our calibration work as the underlying capability.

Dealer pricing structure: per-ECM rates substantially below retail, training and diagnostic support, marketing materials, and territory considerations for established dealer relationships. The dealer program is appropriate for diesel shops looking to add ECM programming as a service capability without building the internal calibration expertise.

For independent shops working on specific customer trucks rather than building an ongoing ECM programming practice, standard per-job pricing applies with the option to develop into a dealer relationship if the volume develops.

How To Get A Quote

Same-day quotes for individual trucks. Multi-truck fleet quotes typically within 24 hours. Three paths to start the conversation:

Call (888) 768-2447 (toll free) or (954) 748-1840 (international). Fastest path for urgent situations. Tell us what platform, what symptoms, what operational context. We'll narrow the scope and quote during the call when possible.

Request a quote online. Send platform details, fault codes (if available), and operational context. We respond same-day during business hours with quote and scope breakdown.

Create a service ticket. For existing customers or complex situations that need photos, fault code uploads, or detailed operational context. The ticket captures the diagnostic information and we respond with quote and next steps.

All three paths route to the same team. Use whichever fits your operational situation best.
