Diagnostic Overview
Mack fault code P20D0 is commonly associated with the aftertreatment fuel dosing or hydrocarbon dosing system used to raise exhaust temperature during DPF regeneration. When this system does not respond correctly, the truck may have failed regens, soot loading, smoke, or aftertreatment warnings. The fault should be diagnosed together with any DPF temperature, pressure, or regeneration codes.
Likely Causes
Failed aftertreatment fuel injector/doser; restricted fuel supply to the doser; wiring fault; poor connector contact; plugged doser tip; failed dosing control component.
What To Check First
Check for related regen and exhaust temperature codes, inspect the aftertreatment doser and wiring, and verify dosing command and fuel supply during a service test.
