Diagnostic Overview
Cummins fault code 2274 typically points to EGR flow performance or EGR differential pressure rationality. The ECM may be seeing EGR flow that is outside the expected range. Possible causes include plugged EGR passages, leaking or stuck EGR valve, clogged EGR differential pressure tubes, faulty pressure sensor, restricted cooler, or intake/exhaust leaks. Diagnosis should include inspecting the EGR valve and cooler, checking the sensor tubes, and reviewing live EGR flow or pressure data during commanded operation.
