Dealer Certification
Initial certification brings dealer staff to operational speed on the diagnostic ecosystems, business practices, and workflows that define dealer-program work. Ongoing certification keeps the dealer current as platforms evolve. This page covers both.
What Certification Means
Certification reflects the training and operational practice required to deliver consistent dealer-program work. The certification process covers technical skill (diagnostic ecosystem fluency, ECM handling, calibration scope understanding), business practice (customer service standards, scope conversations, post-installation support), and operational protocols (work order documentation, quality assurance, escalation paths). Certified dealers operate with the practical expertise to handle dealer-program work independently while maintaining quality standards across the dealer network.
The certification isn't a one-time event. Initial certification establishes operational baseline; ongoing certification keeps dealers current as platform diagnostic ecosystems evolve, calibration libraries expand, and operational practices refine. Both parts matter; both are part of the dealer relationship structure.
Initial Certification Process
Initial certification covers three streams that run in parallel during the onboarding period:
Technical training brings designated dealer staff up to speed on the diagnostic ecosystems for the platforms you'll service. Cummins INSITE workflow, Paccar Davie4 workflow, Cat ET (where applicable), and platform-specific calibration practice. Training is delivered through a combination of remote sessions and self-paced documentation; in-person training at our Fort Lauderdale shop is available for dealers preferring that format.
Business practice training covers the customer-facing side — scope conversations, quote handling, expectation setting, post-installation support. This is shorter than the technical stream but matters as much; dealer-program customers see the dealer, not us, so the customer experience reflects the dealer's practice.
Operational integration covers the workflows that connect your dealer operations to our calibration capability — work order systems, ticketing, communication protocols, escalation paths. This is the practical operational training that makes the relationship work day-to-day.
Initial certification typically runs 1–2 weeks of elapsed time depending on staff availability. For dealers with prior experience on the diagnostic ecosystems, the technical stream compresses substantially; the business and operational streams stay roughly constant.
Ongoing Certification
Annual or semi-annual recertification keeps dealer staff current on calibration library updates, new platform support, and refined operational practices. Recertification is typically a remote session — a few hours of training plus a short practical assessment. Recurring dealer customers don't see this; it happens behind the scenes as part of the dealer relationship.
Platform-specific recertification happens as platforms evolve. When Cummins releases a major INSITE update, when Paccar transitions Davie4 versions, when a new engine family enters our scope — affected dealer staff get the recertification touchpoint to stay current. These are operational adjustments, not full recertification.
Recognition And Credentials
Certified dealers receive credential documentation that can be used in customer-facing marketing — dealer location pages on our website, certified-dealer marks that can be displayed in shop documentation and marketing materials, listing in dealer directory resources. The recognition reflects the operational standards the certification represents.
Dealer certification credentials are issued to the dealer organization rather than individual staff members, but the dealer is responsible for ensuring certified staff are operating the program. If certified staff leave the dealer, recertification of replacement staff is required to maintain the operational dealer relationship.
